personal posts are boring

I haven't been doing my job.
sorry people, i promise the next post will be something, worth reading.

Sungai..Wang?

Let's dedicate this post to,

Fariq Shazanee a.k.a Mighty Duck a.k.a Ayam.

Well let's briefly start the story. My dad's friend and his wife from Bangladesh came to Malaysia for a holiday. I am the tour guide, enough said. Safe to say, the only problem we had is me not having the whole of KL in my head.

So Mr Fariq came to the rescue. I cannot engage in random conversations on how beautiful KL is or how amazing the shoes are. I cannot pull off witty remarks without laughing at myself inside. And yes Fariq did it. A word of warning, I don't want you to lose your already big head which might be expanding even more now fariq. So no more compliments. You've suffered enough today, with the ice cream guys all over you. HAHA. Despite being overdressed * yes la,interview at the ambassy right*, you pulled of those really dirty slippars pretty okay. Buttttt, among all things, you still walk like a duck. Peace out hombree.

okay of to sleep, will be going to genting highlands at 8 am tomorrow and both my legs, are aching beyond words. oh yeah,THANK YOU. Next week more adventure. Monkeysssss

Fun Fact of the Day.

Toyota Altis ads featuring Brad Pitt were banned in Malaysia after the country's deputy information minister ruled that Pitt's handsome appearance may make Malaysian countrymen feel inferior. "Why must we use their faces in our advertisements?" asked Zainuddin Maidin to London's Guardian. "Aren't our own people handsome enough?"

OMG ISN'T That the most ridiculous thing you've ever heard??

Shoot, and he's the Malaysian info minister?i wonder how is he doing his job without getting distracted by the thought of handsome caucasians flooding Local television every 5 minutes.for a minister, He seems to really have plenty of free time looking at the way he spends it being delusionally threatened by brad pitt's ridiculous good looks.
SHUNNN.

What a moron.

How to stop.Fullstop.

so today, i will share with you my excrutiating experience when I started boycotting Israel,AGAIN.

Okay it started with Mcdonalds. Well that wasn't suppose to be hard, cause the only thing i eat there is McEgg Muffin, and Mcflurry. FINEE, and occasionally some french fries.

So it went well for a few weeks. I didn't even crave for anything. i later figured that it was more of terminating the habit of buying rather than the desire of wanting to eat Mcdonalds. I finally stopped for good.

the thing about stopping is, when you stop so suddenly, without bidding adieu first, your cravings/desires/temptations, will definitely seek you, one way or another.

So one day, I couldn't resist thinking about oreos. Weird, yeahs. I was really craving for an Oreo Mcflurry. However, I thought about the amount i have to pay which is 4 bucks, and that means, 4 palestinian lives. (yeahs, one bullet for each ringgit). But i knew that this temptations will keep on coming untill it is triumphant. So what i did was:

I held back my intentions to buy it.
I stuffed myself with food.
Finally when i was bloated enough to puke, I drove myself to Mcdonalds,ALONE.
Well, its basically human nature to resent anything that goes down their throat when their stomachs are three quarters or above full.
And please notice how i emphasized on ALONE. This means you have no one to share it with.
I bought my last Mcflurry, Gulp it down my throat, and now, I CANNOT STAND THE SIGHT OF WHITE SOFTIES MIXED WITH OREOS.

So remember the steps :D

Congratulations,and celebration.

I'd like to take this Opportunity to congratulate my bestfriend Zulaikha, in Queensland, for her team's wonderful triumph in MASCA.( which stands for something something, umph something, in short, netball tourney!). i knew you guys could kick some serious butt!

by the way, someone's birthday is coming up, and i now know how to FEDEX :D

we love music.

okay so after the post i wrote about oil, i've been posting some serious bollocks here. so, i've decided to talk about something more significant, and that would be....*drum rolls*

CORINNE BAILEY RAE!woot!

She's a real talent and i am madly in love with her songs. even the word captivating is an understatement for her. her tunes are mostly mellow and HAPPY.somehow, i think i have reached the stage where i need calm beats to fill the emptiness of my soul (wtf). a stage where nothing is too corny.

on second thought, i still have difficulties accepting corny things. but anyways, listen to her. she'll brighten your day.

Sur La Route, La Pluie et le beau temps!

A very exhausting day it was.

For those who know French, good on ya. For those who don't, the above means, "on the Road, Rain and Shine!" and yes I have been using my iPod to learn French. I must say, it's not ABC easy. I would rather say it's..very the complicated. Everything has a freaking gender.the COMPUTER has a gender. how do you genderize a computer?!Anyways, enough about that, i'm just very happy I can now count to a hundred in french, and speak to french cab driver. oh yeah, and eat in a french restaurant.

My sister just got back from egypt. it's been so long since all of us hung out together. years already. In fact, beda's still in turkey right now. so it's the 4 of us. but i'm still very happy. Little did I know, I'd have such a wonderful time catering to my sisters' ridiculous needs. anyways, my sister told me a really funny story.

she was at the airport with her friends and decided to buy some drinks. so they went tothis cafe (in egypt). They sat down and waited for the waiter to take their order but there weren't any in sight. After about 15 minutes of waiting, they got really annoyed, but they were not the only ones. A Canadian guy from across their table got up, and went all the way to the back of the counter, and found noone, not even the cashier. So he dared himself into the kitchen to find someone. Ironically,In the cafe, there was a sign that said

" Please do not leave your valuables unattended ".

So the white guy took that sign and put it on their front counter where the cashier is..suppose to be... and took off.

finally, someone came out, and my sister and her friends shouted, "that sign is for youuuuuu!"

p/s- it's a boy btw. the computer.

All that glitter, is Dust.

hmm, it was nearing dusk. Strumming horrendously on my guitar, I saw a ray of light, slipping in between the small opening of the green curtain. I was amused. It was beautiful, but it was made of nothing else but the sun and flying dust particles that looked insanely indistinguishable to glitter.

I still remember, as a kid, I used to raise my hand with my fist open, and slowly moved it towards the ray in hopes to capture the moving glitters. uh huh, they were extremely tricky and somehow flew in a cheetah like speed. or maybe a space rocket. You just go on and on, feeling excited. Do you think it's idiotic? Cause I still don't, and I still get mesmerized by the glimpse of it. I can stare all day.

How can small particles of dust, look like floating glitter.

ah well, dumb thoughts, for today. beautiful dumb thoughts

just like you said it would be.
life goes easy on me......most of the time.

How They Twist and Shout

As i said in my previous post, i shall explain how the government has cheated their way to personal riches.

According to my sister yet again, Malaysia purchases very low grade oil, where there is high sulphure content. The lower the grade, as I said before, the cheaper the price. just like any other commodities, there is a base price. for those who know economics, take example inflation, we compare index prices of the current and base year. same thing here, say Grade A is used as the base grade for the base price, hence any other grade will be valued against that.

Our nextdoor neighbours however, do not purchase low grade oil. in fact, thailand and singapore purchase very high quality oil. That is why when we compare our prices to our neighbours' prices, ours seem relatively, lower, in fact, much lower. but the government manipulate the fact and took advantage of it. Without shame, they stated that we should be thankful they subsidize a alot compared to other countries by comparing the oil prices. the reality is that, we buy oil at a lower price in the first place. in fact, it's safe to say that our neighbours' might be the one heavily subsidized by their government in terms of real instead of nominal value. There is an article on Malaysia today that can help you understand more, i will post the link shortly.

For those who do not know what real and nominal value is, here goes:

lets say you go two different kedai mamak. the first one sells roti canai for 1 ringgit, the second for 50 cents. since you are short of cash, you ask your friend to split the cost with you, but ofcourse, not the roti canai. for the first kedai mamak, your friend paid 40 cents for you. for the second one, your friend paid 10 cents. which means you only had to pay 60 cents and 40 cents.

so here you are thinking, you paid more for the first compared to the second roti canai. Nominally yes, as 60 cents is more than 40. but in terms of real value, for the first one, you only paid for 3/5 of the real price(1ringgit) whereas, for the second one you paid 4/5 of the price ( 50 cents). so in real value, eating more roti canai from kedai mamak number one is more untung. get it?

Oil trading please read

i was having a light conversation with my sister yesterday when she started talking about oil prices, and i found out about something very interesting.

well i guess i have to briefly introduce my sister, as to assure you of where she got her data and accentuate the validity of her statements.
she works with petronas, in the oil business department. so she handles trading and things related to oil business (duh). in short, she knows how the prices are negotiated.

In essence, based on reality and not some crap made up by the government, this is how oil prices are determined.

To simplify it, the oil exporting countries usually gather to trade oil. they have headquarters in the USA,Japan, Saudi, etc etc. Each country is represented by a body which records and negotiates their trading going-ons. this body is called platts. in this trading session, each country offers their oil. lets take Malaysia, say our representative offers our oil, and the others will bid on it. and ofcourse, the oil will go to the highest bidder.

There are three prices of oil, the highest price, where it is the value of the highest bid, the minium, which is the lowest bid and lastly, the average which is the value in between max and min. so say initially the oil price is 100bucks perbarrel. Out of the blue, someone suddenly offers $200 bucks perbarrel for our oil. so the average will go up and the max price now will be $200. based on this shocking offer, all the other countries now believe that, there are buyers who are willing to pay that high price for oil. so they will now sell at $200 barrel. as you can see, it is merely based on speculation that people are willing to buy at a higher price. yes, only based on speculation even though there isn't exactly a need for the price to go up. everyone is selfish and wants to get the maximum amount of profit.

So thats how it works. the platts(the body) will record all transaction and will determine the current price of oil.

As you can see, from here, there are plenty of room for fraudulence, selfish propaganda and manipulation by those in power. how?Think about it. and if you're stuck, you can ask me anytime.

That's one part of it.
the grade of oil also plays another significant role.

the countries bid on a certain grade of oil. say grade A. Let's take the price of Grade A to be $200 per barrel. If Malaysia sells grade A oil and in return buys grade B which is a lower quality oil, the lower quality oil will be cheaper, maybe by $20. this makes sense cause it is of lower quality anyway. and say Saudi buys grade A++ which is of higher quality. they therefore have to pay say $50 more. This is how they trade.

Now that you know all this, i will write my next post on how the Malaysian government has robbed us all and manipulated facts to make them look ....Good.

Why we hate Israel,Episode 2.

remember, it doesn't matter whether you are black or white, christian and buddhist from everywhere and anywhere. they are commiting a crime agaisnt humanity. they have violated human rights. they have brutally snatched the lives of many palestinians.

so, there is absoultely nothing wrong in trying to prevail human rights. seriously guys, please at least try.

Boycott Israel.

I am sick and tired of being hypocritical. yes i have failed many attempts to boycott israel. but i have read too many horrendous stories about their ill treatment towards the palestinians and i believe i need to do something about it.
well, firstly, i'd like to preach to everyone to boycott israel. i am not asking you to be a saint.
it's basic humanity and human rights issue. and you don't have to do it at one go, you can do it slowly , one product at a time.
i'd like to tell you abit about the israelis, thinking about them is enough to raise my rage. anyways, first and foremost, they invaded palestine in 1948. after that they practically took away the land away from their palestinians without compromise. imagine your house being taken away from you just like that. your parents' hard work of building that house you live in, goes to a complete stranger. they drove out the palestinians from their own land using nothing but brutality. they have guns and grenades, while the palestinians only had stones and pebbles.
after 60 years, the palestinians now are treated as second class. a man was tortured and beaten till his hands, ribs and legs are broken before he was ferociously slaughtered to death. a 6 year old boy was shot, after throwing stones at a jewish soldier, and when the soldier was questioned about his cruelty, he said, it was self defense.
i know it's extremely difficult, as i say it, behind almost every international company success, they is an evil israeli man.ofcourse that would be judgemental. and no one fancies being judgemental. but i am really only reffering to those who are actually funding those bullets you see in babies, women, and teenagers' cranium(skull).
i suggest when you buy that fillet-o-fish or big mac, just imagine each bite is the red flesh of a palestinian baby. it's no different than the real thing. you are killing these people by buying israeli products.

Motorists.

I THINK THEY SHOULD BE BANNED!motors should not be a medium of transportation!urggh, referring to the above, our subject for today is all about motorists and that includes rempits, old man on motors, underage kids in the kampungs, minah rempss(abbreviation for rempit), women on old motor bikes etc, etc. i personally think they are extremely annoyinggg. not to be judgemental or anything related to that, but seriously, they make driving on the road a burden and a much harder task. they can consequence to some serious cursing, and infront of your mother too!deng deng deng(sound effect).

i was driving around ,when suddenly there was this slow moving motorist in front of me, waiting for me to just bang him to death. i felt the urge to curse profusely, and in my head i did. it raised my rage.driving definitely needs tons of patience. it could be the beginning of your high blood pressure and the end of your life(wah so dramatic). but seriously, don't you feel like just pushing those motorists aside if they're on your way.they dont just take up your driving space, they perform magic too.when you're happily driving, they can just ZZOOOooom in,appear out of nowhere and ruin your day. you have to look after these motorists cause they expect you too.even if you collided, and it was the motorist fault, you face bigger loss, badly damaged car,and the paranoid android emotion you have to go through for the next few weeks.the worst thing that could happen to the motorist is get pity, a few scratches,a totally broken bike, and i guess death.(okay that sounds like a bigger loss)whatever!i'm annoyed here,so i decide who loses more!

okay so maybe i was exagerating about the banning of motors as i said up theree.i know motors are cheap, and not everyone can afford a car. it also contributes to pollution in a smaller scale (not very sure about this as the number of motorists is big, however still a smaller scale compared to everyone having and driving a car). one of the sollutions might be by providing a lane for motorists so that they dont have to bugger on our roadsss!also they should limit the number of motors sold.*quotas* chehh.i sound like i'm writing a PMR essay. anyways, i'm still sticking to how annoyed i am by the presence of motorists.sighhhh.

Indie Movies.

For those who do not know what indie actually means, it's independent. Independent in the sense that it is different from mainstream, and it does not associate to it in whatever possible ways there are. Also the fact that they are initially produced without financing or distribution from a major movie studio.

Anyways,
Here's the top ten list of Indie Movies:

  1. Requiem For A Dream
  2. Garden State
  3. Juno
  4. Little Miss Sunshine
  5. Trainspotting
  6. The Royal Tennenbaums
  7. Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind
  8. The House Of Mirth
  9. Thumbsucker
  10. Transamerica

Well, I have watched half the list(the large bolded ones) and my verdict is that indie movies are AWESOME. Now, everyone knows this for a fact that these movies are not cliche. So i wouldn't wanna stress too much on that. I'd rather talk about how genius the directors are for making such captivating movie. Garden state for example, blew my mind away. the thing about these movies is how they emphasize on both eccentric and normal aspects of life and somehow illustrate em in the most maginficent way.

They are usually slow thereforeee, unless you have tons of time to waste, or you feel like indulging yourself into something.....deep( well usually ), then i suggest you go pick your all time favourite chick flick over this. i hafta warn you, once you enjoy one, you'd go looking for more. i'm the living proof.

Final Verdict:

Some movies are to die for,and most you should definitely watch before you actually bugger off forever(die). we la la la love indie moviesss!

Raja Petra Kamarudin

Name: Raja Petra Kamaruddin
Also known as: Peter/RPK
who is he?: The Legendary Creator and Editor of the blog "MALAYSIA TODAY".

Short biography:

Do not be fooled by the balding head of this half welsh man. he has got more guts than those fat Madagascar cockroaches and has a mind sharper than a nuisance's eyes and mouth combined!
If you have read his blogs, you would give him an insurmountable respect for his explicitness. He has revealed to us many of the fraudulence carried by our Malaysian Government and has opened thousands of eyes to be aware of this. I also strongly believe he has played a major role in the result of our recent election in March.
Unfortunately, the much corrupted Malaysian government has a bunch of significant "taikos" namely our"Prime Minister's" son in law. He has somehow managed to get some freaky computer genius to hack into the blog system, hence making it impossible for anyone to open it.

As an avid reader, I believe in the reliability of Raja Petra's blog. The irresponsible act of hacking his blog has further convinced me,as no guilty man would go through all the trouble to prevent people from knowing the truth.
Raja Petra has been writing controversial issues mainly concerning Malaysia's political arena and has shown courage in doing so. Since his blog has been hacked, we haven't heard from him and we fear of his safety, truly. Please leave him alone, you stupid scumbags.

7 Wonders of Raja Petra:

  • Has been charged with Sedition a number of times and still have the guts to fight for the truth.
  • has been jailed for sedition, and again, he continues doing what he believes in.
  • His deep concern for human rights, our rights, rakyat's rights.
  • His killer comedian instincts.
  • His witty controversial comments on the political issues.I call it style with substance.
  • A very resourceful man with profound knowledge in what he writes
  • His profound rebellious like behaviour that astounds many
What we think of him?
AWESOME, A truly courageous Malaysian Hero.
we love peter!

Final Verdict:

GO PETER GO!

p/s- on behalf of all supporters, we hope that his safety is secured and that he will continue writing soon. IF ever he is found dead, WE WILL FIND THE KILLER AND SLAUGHTER HIM ALIVE. okay, maybe I will.

Robert Mugabe

Name: Robert Mugabe
What is he? The President Of Zimbabwe.
Known As? A Violent Dictator.

Short Biography:
He is a tyrant who desires long lasting power. His brutality and fraudulence has put shame to the entire continent. He has no international support, and only survives being the country's leading man by enforcing cruelty and oppression on his people. Very delusional.the world just witnessed how he placed himself on top again in the recent election, using nothing but brutality. Many are working to put his career to an end.

Latest Accomplishment:

  • Burning a 6 year old boy to Death.
  • Butchering the young wife of Zimbabwe's new opposition mayor.
What does the world think of him( well, the ones that actually care)?
Cruel and deserves nothing more than a noose with his head inside.oh yeah, and no ground beneath him.

What do I think of him?
A ruthless old scumbag living of his people. Definitely someone the world doesn't need.

Final Verdict:
SHUN!!!!!SHUN MUGABE!

p/s- In hopes that we learn something from this.

First and Foremost

hello.

Alright, my very first post. to tell you the truth this is my second blog. i wrote a bunch of stuff in my old one and thought that i needed a fresh new start. The stuff i wrote before seems, pointless. not that this won't be. But i have a new purpose now and you can read about it on my profile.

Well, to keep it short, the title you see up there "facets" actually means numerous aspects, as of a subject. Therefore, i'm gonna try to entertain all the lazy readers out there with the numerous significant things in life we should be aware about. From Political dramas, to healthy lifestyle, you name it, i'll post it. Hmm, that sounded very commercial. Ah well, deal with it.

Ho hum.
